Information Collection Notice

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Purpose of This Notice

This notice is provided at or before we collect your personal information, as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar laws. It summarizes what we collect and why. Full detail on how we use, share, retain, and protect your information — and how to exercise your privacy rights — is in our Privacy Policy, which this notice does not replace.

2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

  • Identifiers: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
  • Professional and license information: license number, office address, professional credentials, and verification documents (for users registering as real estate professionals)
  • Transaction information: property listings, offers, and communications related to a transaction
  • Financial information: bank verification of deposit (VOD) results, processed by third-party banking partners — we do not store your banking credentials
  • Internet and network activity: device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, pages visited, and cookies (see our Cookies and Tracking section)

3. Why We Collect It

  • To create and secure your account
  • To verify professional credentials and licensing
  • To facilitate property search, offers, and transactions
  • To send transactional communications (verification, password reset, transaction updates)
  • To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorized access
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

4. Where This Information Comes From

Most of the information above comes directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, or use the Platform. Some is collected automatically through your use of the Platform (device, IP address, usage data). Financial verification information comes from our third-party banking partners, at your request and with your authorization.

5. Do We Sell or Share This Information?

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described in our Privacy Policy — with other users where necessary to facilitate a transaction (e.g., public professional profiles), with service providers who help us operate the Platform, with banking partners for deposit verification, and where required by law.

6. Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, and as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as transaction records and fraud prevention.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent. See Your Rights in our Privacy Policy for the full list and how to exercise them.
