Terms of Service - DoubleDoor

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DoubleDoor ("the Platform"), operated by DoubleDoor Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

DoubleDoor is an online platform that connects international real estate buyers with verified professionals including real estate agents, brokers, escrow officers, title officers, appraisers, mortgage bankers, inspectors, lawyers, and insurance brokers. The Platform facilitates property search, professional discovery, offer submission, negotiation, and transaction tracking.

DoubleDoor does not act as a real estate broker, agent, or intermediary. We do not buy, sell, or hold real estate inventory. We do not provide legal, financial, or tax advice.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your password and account
Promptly update your information if it changes
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Professional Verification

Professionals on our platform undergo a verification process that may include license verification, identity verification, and background checks. While we take reasonable steps to verify professional credentials, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any professional's information, qualifications, or services.

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before engaging with any professional on the Platform.

5. Property Listings

Property listings on the Platform are provided by third-party sources including MLS feeds and verified agents. We do not own, control, or guarantee the accuracy of any listing information including but not limited to property details, pricing, availability, images, or descriptions.

6. Offers and Transactions

The Platform may facilitate the submission of offers and tracking of real estate transactions. All offers, negotiations, and transactions are between the respective buyer and seller (and their respective agents). DoubleDoor is not a party to any real estate transaction and bears no liability for the outcome of any transaction facilitated through the Platform.

48-hour response windows and other negotiation timelines are guidelines enforced by the Platform to keep transactions moving. Failure to respond within designated windows may result in automatic expiration of offers.

7. Bank Verification (VOD)

Certain features may require Verification of Deposit (VOD) through a third-party banking verification process. By using this feature, you authorize DoubleDoor and its banking partners to verify your account ownership and available funds. Verification results are time-limited and may expire.

8. Fees and Subscriptions

Certain features of the Platform may require payment of fees or subscription charges. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without authorization
Circumvent any security features of the Platform
Use the Platform to facilitate money laundering or fraud
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — are the exclusive property of DoubleDoor Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DoubleDoor Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DoubleDoor Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
